My Story

---

My personal side

• When I'm not working - I enjoy gardening, cooking, hosting loved ones, renovating my 1930's arts&crafts home, record keeping (letters, photographs, etc), listening to music, reading/researching areas of interest, or cruz'ing around in my specialty car!
• My favourite leisure time is spent with my husband - we both love DIY'ing, history & museums, explorative walking, motorsports, lounging poolside or snuggling up watching TV relaxing after a days work.
• My favourite pastime is spending time in the garage or at the racetrack alongside my husband - working on our cars together, or supporting and pit'ing for him as he races DIRT Sportsman division.
• I love being wrapped up in a cozy blanklet looking outside while sitting in a bay window or nook reading, or sitting on a piece of leather furniture in front of a fireplace with a cup of tea.
• I'm also an avid traveller & trip planner (I've travelled to 15 countries in Europe, 17 islands in the Caribbean, and my favourite places to travel in Canada and the US are Cape Breton Island, Charleston SC, Galveston TX, and an annual roadtrip to Colonial Williamsburg VA!

 

My professional side

• I have over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry - I love catering to clients, and have extensive experience with large scale events such as fundraisers, parties, and weddings (having begun banquet serving in my teens right up until a couple years ago, when I began my own entrepreneurial event pursuits such as decor rentals, cake making, and bartending services)!
• As for my day job - I have worked in the social service sector for over 15 years. I have my Masters in Social Work, and work for a non-profit agency providing counselling and programming - I love facilitating therapeutic groups!
• I'm a super organized, reliable, and methodical Atype - I excel at planning and administrative projects (like presentation development, templates, etc) - so much so, many people have mistakenly assumed I have an MBA (vs. an MSW)! lol
•  During the week, I help people navigate their lives... and on the weekends (or weekdays and evenings by special request) I help people celebrate their lives!!

 

My passionate side

• MOTORSPORTS - I love Corvettes, motorcycles, and custom trucks - I also love vintage Cadillacs, and tractor pulls!! So I relish the opportunity to involve your specialty vehicle or piece of machinery in your celebratory event!
• BIG BREED DOGS (Great Danes, Malamutes, Newfies, etc) - so I would love to facilitate your furry family member in your big day (especially misunderstood breeds like Rottis, Dobermans, and APBTs)!
• WATER - love being anywhere beside, on top, or in the water - as a certified scuba diver and boat lover, I look forward to officiating your water-related wedding!
• FOODIE, VINO & SPIRIT ENTHUSIAST - love pairing, and trying new bevs and eats - especially ethnic cuisines, potluck and roadhouse food, and vintage homemade recipes!
• PEOPLE'S LIFE & LOVE STORIES and PUBLIC SPEAKING - I love listening and noting people's life & love stories; and speaking with conviction, passion, and enthusiasm when MC'ing an event!
• FRUGAL & PICKY simultaneously lol - my husband & I both happily work blue/white colour jobs, so to offset our expensive/picky tastes and hobbies we are zealously frugal, prudent, and extremely industrious... so if you are a DIY'er, Airbnb'er, Atype, thrifty, have refined tastes and a unique vision - then we speak the same language & I'm the celebrant for you!!
